Special Projects

RACT Symphony Under the Stars

Saturday 16 February

Rachael Beesley, Co-Artistic Director and Concertmaster of Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra will play-direct this program, mentoring TYO musicians in the art of historically informed performance. TYO performs as pre show entertainment ahead of TSO's RACT Symphony Under the Stars. Thanks to TSO, and ARCO and their Young Mannheim Symphonists Program!

TSO Big Rehearsal

Saturday 31 August

Each year, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra invites members of the TYO to join them onstage for an intense day of side-by-side rehearsing. Aspiring student musicians are mentored by members of the TSO as they prepare a program of orchestral masterworks under the baton of a highly acclaimed international guest conductor.

Thanks to our supporters at the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra for these incredibly valuable professional development opportunities.
