TYO Instrumental Ensembles

Musicians in TYO instrumental ensembles have the opportunity to rehearse weekly with exceptional conductors, tutors and mentors, as well as performing in at least three TYO concerts each year. There are catered entry points to suit almost every stage of musical development and some ensembles have the opportunity to tour for concert engagements around Tasmania  always a highlight for those involved!

The 2019 program has also featured joint projects with TYO's chorales and a series of Northern workshops, which have seen some of TYO's conductors hit the road to deliver additional ensemble opportunities to young musicians in the north and north-west.

Late auditions for instrumental ensembles have now closed for the year; however, the 2020 ensembles program will be announced in late October 2019. Please register your interest here and we will contact you soon.
